The academy awards have shown great diversity with their nominations  and it seemed like we were heading  in the right direction until recent controversy surrounding the oscars made headline. This year we had 4 great films… Creed, Straight Outta Compton, Dope, and Concussion. If you look at the nominees no person of colour is nominated for the second year in a row…this is a problem.  It seems like the only time a person of colour gets nominated is if they play a slave or a maid  (12 years of slave, The Help etc.) forbid an actor of colour  plays a boxer in a movie, or plays a teenager in first gansta rap group, or a doctor. this is not okay….wheres the nomination for Michael B Jordan? Or Jason Mitchell for playing Easy E in SOC? wheres the nomination for Will Smith? what about best picture? or Best Cinematography? Where are the nominations? Another all white oscar???this is crazy…
